This is an opportunity to combine an Origin Trip to Ethiopia with one of the biggest street parties in Addis by taking part in the Great Ethiopian Run in Addis at an altitude of 2335 MASL on November 17th!!! This trip also gives you the opportunity to come and visit with us the home of Girls Gotta Run and see the work this charity does firsthand at their home in Bekoji, on the road south. In the South we will visit suppliers in Yirgacheffe, Guji, Sidamo as well as making time to go see the work of the Stumping Project now it in its third year. There of course as well will be time to cup at the Falcon office in Addis and meet our team as well as see the mills that prepare all the coffees before they leave it Djibouti.

15th – Arrive to Addis Ababa (stay in Addis)
16th – Addis Ababa – Cupping Falcon office (Stay in Addis)
17th Great Ethiopian Run – 10K – https://ethiopianrun.org/ – $90 for international runners (Stay in Addis)
18th Drive to Bekoji – Home of Girl Gotta Run (GGR) and learn about their program and meet some of the scholars/athletes. – Asella (3-4 hours) Stay in Asola (1 hour drive back north – Stay in Asella)
19th AM – Bekoji – GGR Training Session (taking part with them)
PM – Drive to Hawassa (2-3 hours) Haile Grand Hotel
20th – Yirgacheffe – 3 hours drive to Ephtah Coffees (Dila)
21st – 24th – Yirgacheffe, Guji, Sidamo, Stumping Project Visit – TBC final schedule
25th – Fly back to Addis & Cup at Falcon office
26th – Depart Addis/Own Travel

This trip takes you through some of the most dynamic coffee regions in Colombia, starting in Ibague (Tolima) and continuing through Manizales and San Lorenzo. You will visit various coffee associations and farms, including the Amucaflome women’s association and Café Agrario. Along the way, you’ll explore farms producing high-quality coffee, such as the iconic Gesha variety, and learn about the challenges and progress of coffee-growing communities.
The trip also includes cupping sessions at Siruma’s office, visits to cooperative purchase points and wet-milling plants, and free time to relax in local hot springs. You’ll engage with growers, learn about sustainable farming practices, and gain insights into how projects like Siruma and Bean Voyage are helping improve the coffee industry in Colombia.
